Hey there! Did you enjoy Flag Day on Sunday? We’d also like to wish the United States Army a belated happy birthday! The unofficial ‘happy birthday’ song of the US Army is ‘Stars and Stripes Forever’, composed by John Philip Sousa. Did you know that Sousa wrote one hundred, thirty-five marches? If you want to know more about the ‘March King’, then you know where to come to find out; we’ll help you!
Our June Mystery Meal, America the Beautiful, is just a week away! Come and join us at the Community of Christ church at noon next Thursday with a dish to pass. Afraid you don’t have anything for the time capsule? Don’t be! We’ll help you leave a message for the generations to come.
Guess what happens on the same day as our mystery Meal? It’s the last day of school! Our School’s Out, Summer Celebration will commence on Monday, the twenty-ninth. Nintendo, snacks, air conditioning . . . what’s not to love about that?
Which dinosaur makes the best DJ for a party? The spin-osaurus. (He’s not a bad rapper, either!) The party starts on July 11; come and Unearth a Story with us. If your elementary-aged student has a younger sibling, let us know so we can try to accommodate them, too!
